LEARNING COUNCIL MEETING

If you are a member of the Learning Council please come along to a meeting on Friday lunchtime at 1.10pm in All when Mrs Holyoak will be our special guest and the spotlight will be on Behaviour.

Cakes and buns will be provided as usual to keep us going through the day.

YEAR 9 CARNEGIE SHADOWING GROUP

Please come to the LRC promptly at 1 p.m. for the Carnegie meeting with your books.  Thank you.  Mrs Bennington

Years 9 & 10 German Exchange

Final call for booking your place on the German Exchange.  Deadline must be this Friday 6th May.  See Mrs Brooke (M11) asap to get a letter.

Years 10 and 11 - GCSE Astronomy.

This is a chance to learn about the planets and the stars and get an extra GCSE as well.  Beginning in September next year, Thursdays after school 4.15-5.30pm. Open to students that will be in year 11 or 12 next year. If you are interested and would like to sign up or have any further questions then see Mrs Keyte-Toone in the science department (physics). FAO: Students working with Miss Parker on Recycled Fashion Project.

The final Fashion photo shoot has been booked for Friday 13th May 4pm- 6pm.  If you want your designs to feature you must attend a meeting in C12 on THURSDAY 5TH MAY at 1pm.  Only those who attend this meeting will be given the opportunity to be involved in the photo shoot.  If you cannot attend the meeting but want to be involved in the shoot then you need to talk to CEP before FRIDAY 6TH MAY.  After this date, all dresses in C12 not involved in the shoot will be ‘recycled’ unless removed.

 

MACBETH TRIP

There are a very few places remaining on the visit to see 'Macbeth' at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre on Monday May 23rd.  This is a really good opportunity to see the play which has opened to rave reviews.  Letters are available from the English Office; please bring money and consent forms in by Friday 6th May.
